Note: If you’re easily offended by uncomfortable truths, this blog isn’t for you. It might challenge the identity you’ve built for yourself, or the ideas you’ve formed about Muslims and Islam. And let’s be honest: the woke leftist crowd and ideological purists don’t like having their illusions shattered. If you’re looking for feel-good pieces on BhaiChara, Modi-bashing, or anti-Hindu narratives, you’ll be more at home reading The Hindu. Stop reading now, what comes next will shatter your illusions.
I overheard someone in my office recently saying, “Why do Indian Muslims have to prove their loyalty to India, even though they are patriotic and loyal people?” I wanted to say something to the people having that conversation, but I didn’t. I rarely express myself clearly when I speak, and I usually try to avoid confrontation. So, I kept my mouth shut.
Also, there were Muslim colleagues around, and I thought they might get offended by the truth I might have said. But that thought, about whether Indian Muslims are truly loyal to India, keeps coming back to me.
At the time, I wasn’t even aware of the Pahalgam attack in Kashmir. I assumed it was just another tragic incident where a few tourists had been killed by terrorists. I never imagined it was a jihadi massacre, similar in nature to the 26/11 Mumbai attacks, which were carried out by Pakistani terrorists.

Once I realized the gravity of the situation, I started watching numerous videos and reading material online. Everything I came across only confirmed what I had come to believe. And no, this is not just confirmation bias, it’s backed by facts. Research conducted in several Western countries has shown that even well-educated and financially successful Muslims, those often referred to as ‘moderates’, frequently support ideas like Sharia law and, in some cases, even jihad. That says a lot about where their ideological loyalties may lie.
That’s the reason I decided to write this blog, to express my concern, to share what I’ve come to understand, and to raise awareness about the deeper ideological undercurrents that often go ignored or downplayed in the name of political correctness
Before we try to answer that question, we need to understand who Indian Muslims really are, and what Islam actually is.
Who Are Indian Muslims?
Indian Muslims are essentially people whose ancestors converted from Hinduism to Islam, often between 60 to 400 years ago. These conversions happened under various circumstances.

But before we get into how conversions happened, or whether Indian Muslims today are loyal to India, we need to first understand the belief system they converted into: Islam. Because unless we understand what Islam teaches, we can’t begin to understand the mindset or the questions around loyalty.
What Muslims Believe In – And Islam’s Core Ideology
Indian Muslims claim to follow the Quran, Hadiths, and Fatwas, especially those shaped or inspired by rulers like Aurangzeb, who saw himself as a soldier of Allah and Muhammad, and an enemy of non-Muslims, particularly Hindus. His mission was to wipe out Hindu culture from India, and that legacy still echoes in how some people view their faith.
Even though many Muslims today may not have read these texts completely, they are heavily influenced by the teachings passed down through madarsas, elders, peers, and now, increasingly, through online platforms. These sources rarely encourage independent or rational thinking. Instead, they often spread hatred, promote division, victimhood mindset and instill a dangerous superiority complex.
Try reading these books yourself, yes, you might come across a few poetic or seemingly wise lines. But the overall message, more often than not, promotes an “us vs. them” mentality, discourages questioning, and fosters hatred. Things return in Islamic books stops rational thought and creates blind obedience to faith while promoting disdain for others.
Because of these books muslims do not value this world or anything in it, because they believe life on Earth is merely a temporary test. In their view, they are just passing through, like a walk, and real life begins only after death, in Jannat (Islamic paradise). According to their belief, Jannat is a reward created for Muslim men, where they are promised unlimited pleasures: rivers of wine, honey, and milk, lush gardens, and 72 virgin hoors, heavenly women who serve as sexual companions or slaves.
Indian Muslims openly glorify historical invaders who looted India, destroyed temples, erased indigenous cultures, and forced mass conversions. Today, they often defend this history by saying people “accepted Islam voluntarily”, a myth repeated to fool the naive and uninformed. Madarsas, their religious schools, rarely teach science, logic, or objective morality. Instead, they focus on defending outdated rituals, justifying questionable traditions, and fueling a constant victimhood narrative.
Islam, by its core doctrine, does not tolerate any other religion or Dharma as equal. It openly promotes the destruction or subjugation of all non-Islamic faiths.
Islam’s Belief Systems and Politics
Islam discourages questioning or challenging anything that contradicts the Quran. Traditional interpretations have, at times, conflicted with modern scientific discoveries. For instance, some classical Islamic scholars believed the earth to be flat, based on their readings of scripture, a view that has since been rejected by mainstream science.
In conservative religious environments, especially in certain madrasas or mosque teachings, there is sometimes a tendency to discourage interaction with people of other faiths. This can create an echo chamber where beliefs remain unchallenged. In such settings, Hindu practices like cow worship or river reverence are sometimes ridiculed to reinforce the belief that Islam is the only true path. Teaching children that other religions are inferior can limit their openness to differing perspectives as they grow.
For devout Muslims who believe in the Quran and follow the life of Muhammad, concepts such as Allah, Jannat (paradise), and Shaytaan (Satan) are considered absolute truths. Many are taught that converting non-Muslims to Islam is a noble and spiritual goal. Success in this is often seen as fulfilling religious duty, bringing others into what they believe is the one true faith.
Whether it’s Jews, Hindus, Christians, Zoroastrians, or Yazidis, the story is the same. Through different tactics, they have partly or completely destroyed many ancient civilizations and cultures.
Some cultures of countries Islam has already wiped out:
- Buddhism was wiped out from Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Afghanistan, and most of Central Asia.
- Persia, once the home of the Zoroastrian faith, is now an Islamic republic.
- Yazidis in Iran and neighboring regions were brutally targeted, ISIS turned many Yazidi women into sex slaves in the 21st century, and almost no one around the world raised a voice.
- Indonesia, once a Hindu-Buddhist kingdom, is now majority Muslim.
And since there are no survivors left to tell their stories, these Islamic countries appear “normal” today, as if nothing ever happened.
But to destroy cultures and entire civilizations, they do not act alone—they receive support. That support often comes from opportunistic individuals within the countries themselves, and in modern times, from leftists, woke activists, communists, and politicians.
On the surface, it may not look like destruction, it looks like humanitarianism or activism. But through higher birth rates and ideological brainwashing from a young age, the process begins. In 30 to 40 years, the entire country can be transformed, quietly and irreversibly. To win support, they use emotional manipulation, showing sad images, crafting victim stories, and appealing to compassion.

This strategy works especially well on leftists and woke individuals, who tend to think with their hearts rather than their minds, and who often harbor disdain for the culture and religion they were born into. Some even lack basic critical thinking skills and accept these narratives without question. Communists and politicians, in particular, support Muslims for one simple reason: to win elections in a democratic system.
What is Islam? A Look at Origins
Islam is a desert cult created by a man named Muhammad. Followers of this cult call him a prophet and the most ideal man in the world. But if you look closely, he was most likely mentally sick, probably epileptic or schizophrenic. Why? Because, according to his own claims, he used to receive messages from the god he supposedly created whenever he went into trance-like states, which sound a lot like seizures.
Muhammad was part of the Banu Hashim clan within the Quraysh tribe of Mecca in ancient Arabia. Back then, many tribes constantly fought each other for land, money, and women. Judaism and Christianity were already spreading in the region at that time. Local tribes like the Banu Nadir and Banu Qurayza followed Judaism. Muhammad’s close relative, Waraqah ibn Nawfal, had converted to Christianity. Seeing all these religious shifts and the growing influence of monotheistic beliefs, Muhammad saw an opportunity to create his own religion.
Whether due to his mental condition or simply being a con man, he believed, or wanted others to believe, that he was different. He went to the Cave of Hira, and there, according to only him, he encountered the angel Gabriel, the same angel from Jewish and Christian scripture, who gave him messages from God. Now use common sense: why would an all-powerful God choose to contact an illiterate man in a violent tribal desert, where people were constantly fighting for power, land, and women? That alone should raise serious doubts. If God truly exists, this choice makes no logical sense.
Muhammad married a rich widow named Khadijah, who was the cousin of Waraqah ibn Nawfal. He tried to convince people, his tribe members and his wife, about his supposed encounters with this angel. But no one believed him, except Khadijah. Everyone else called him a madman or a false prophet. The first convert to Islam was his old, rich wife, Khadijah. Muhammad used her money to try to spread his message and convince people that he was a prophet sent by God. But for the first 12 years, he managed to convert only his close family and friends.
Eventually, Muhammad realized persuasion wasn’t enough, he needed to use force and better persuasion. He began raiding other people’s caravans, especially Jewish and pagan tribes, killing the men, taking their money, weapons, animals, goods, wives and daughters as bounty, and distributing the loot to his own followers. This strategy started gaining him more supporters. To attract more men, he promised rewards not just in this life but also in the afterlife.
He invented a version of paradise where Muslim men would receive unlimited alcohol, honey, milk, gardens, and 72 virgins. This fantasy of a pleasure-filled afterlife made his cult even more appealing to those hungry for wealth, power, and women. His “marketing” worked. Barbaric men who wanted sex, land, and dominance began joining rapidly. These early converts began fighting his own tribe, the Quraysh, who opposed his teachings. They also attacked other Jewish and pagan tribes like Banu Qaynuqa, Banu Nadir, Banu Qurayza, Hawazin, Thaqif, and Khaybar. These tribes were either converted by force or destroyed. Their women and daughters were taken as sex slaves. To kill young males, Muhammad’s followers would check their pubic hair, if the boys had hair, they were old enough to be slaughtered; if not, they were raised as Muslims or kept as slaves, being young enough to be brainwashed.
This Pakistani guy looks successful and seems educated, or maybe that’s just because he has fair skin. I’m judging him fairly. In the video, he talks about taking Indian actresses as londis, meaning sex slaves. Later, he says he wants to be a Ghazi. For those who don’t know, a Ghazi is a Muslim fighter who goes to jihad against non-Muslims, fights them and kills them for Allah. There’s a town in India called Ghaziabad, which literally means “City of the Ghazi.” It’s sad that we still have towns with such names.
Muhammad had multiple wives and sex slaves. In total, he had sex with 11 women, and probably more. The youngest wife, Aisha, was only 6 years old when he was 52. She was the daughter of Abu Bakr, Muhammad’s second major financier. Muhammad even married Zainab, the wife of his adopted son, after seeing her naked while she was changing clothes. Zainab was also his cousin.
The Kaaba, the so-called holy site for Muslims where they perform the Hajj, was originally a pagan temple. It was a pilgrimage site with over 300 idols before Muhammad’s forces destroyed them and declared the Kaaba a Muslim shrine. This pattern of invading religious sites, destroying them, and converting them into mosques was repeated in every region Muslims entered after Muhammad’s death. Those who left Islam were hunted down, killed publicly, and had bounties placed on their heads. Criticism of Muhammad or Islam became punishable by death.
Most of Islam is either copied from Jewish and Christian stories or created to serve Muhammad’s interests. For example, Ramadan is a poor copy of the Jewish fast of Yom Kippur. Muhammad had once asked a Jewish tribe about the significance of their fast, and when they told him, he declared that Muslims were the true believers and made his followers fast for a month to show they were superior. This clearly shows that Muhammad created rules based on what he or his close followers thought was right. The Quran reads more like a gang manual: it divides the world into “us vs them”, those who believe in Muhammad’s gang and everyone else. It claims this gang is right, everyone else is wrong, and no other gang should exist.
In Islam, copying Muhammad’s life is called sunnah, and it’s considered mandatory. So whatever Muhammad did is now considered acceptable, lying (taqiya), raping, halala (temporary marriage with a woman who was already married), killing non-Muslims, marrying prepubescent girls, taking non-Muslim girls as sex slaves, forcing women under burqas, destroying temples, converting them into mosques, it’s all considered halal (permissible). I could go on and on about this desert cult, but this crash course should be enough to give you a clearer picture. In short, Muhammad created a gang. You can enter it, but you can’t leave or respect any other gang like Judaism or Christianity, or any other religion for that matter. Converting others is encouraged. Leaving it can get you killed.
Knowing all this about Muhammad, one can say with certainty that he was not a kind, peaceful, moral person, in fact, he was quite the opposite. He was not a prophet, but a warlord.
Let’s now understand how this gang he started came to India and began converting people here.
Conversion of Hindus During Islamic Invasions
India was one of the richest and most culturally advanced civilizations in human history, not for just a few centuries, but for over a thousand years. This isn’t a claim I’m making lightly, world economic historians have confirmed it. That’s why India earned the name ‘Sone Ki Chidiya’ or The Golden Sparrow. Every area, culture, art, science, mathematics, astrology, architecture, literature, clothing, cuisine, was thriving.
Philosophies were evolving. Knowledge systems were growing. Yes, there were flaws, but the general trajectory was upward. However, this very prosperity and growing pacifism among rulers left India vulnerable. As many kings became less aggressive and more diplomatic, Islamic invaders arrived, with swords in hand and conversion in mind. These invaders weren’t just political conquerors, they were ideologically driven gang members trying to expand their gang, fueled by the belief that converting others increased their spiritual standing and power.
Let me say it bluntly: the weakest, most desperate, fearful, or opportunistic people are often the first to convert to Islam.
“Jinhe jaan pyari thi, woh Musalmaan ho gaye;
Jinhe dharm pyara tha, woh bali-daan ho gaye.”
(Those who loved their lives became Muslims; those who loved their Dharma became martyrs.)
For this exact reason, I love being a Hindu, because I take pride in the fact that my ancestors endured immense hardships and still never gave up their faith, despite the atrocities committed by past jihadis. That’s why I feel compelled to share these stories, so that those who despise their own Hindu identity, culture and Bharat might gain some wisdom and begin to appreciate that they are not brainwashed followers, but freethinkers.
With that context in mind, let’s now examine how large-scale conversions took place in India during periods of Islamic rule. A closer look reveals that many of these conversions were far from noble or voluntary.
How Conversions Happened in India:

Through sword: This was the classic method used to force non-Muslims to convert to Islam, by instilling the fear of death in them, their families, or their friends. People didn’t convert because they believed in it, but because they had no other choice. The threat of death loomed over them, and they had to choose between converting or facing severe consequences. These consequences often included the fear of their wives and daughters being taken as sex slaves, a practice that Muhammad himself was known to have endorsed from the beginning.
Economic pressure: Under Islamic rule, non-Muslims, especially Hindus, faced significant economic discrimination. In many regions, only Muslims were allowed to hold influential positions or operate businesses freely, while non-Muslims were restricted and often required special permissions for even basic economic activities, such as owning land or opening shops. One of the most burdensome impositions was the jizya, a special tax for protection levied on non-Muslims living under Islamic rule.
This tax was not merely financial; it was also symbolic, marking the inferior status of non-Muslims in a Muslim-ruled society. Those who could not afford to pay the jizya were given two harsh alternatives: convert to Islam or face death. In many cases, men who resisted conversion were executed, while women were taken as captives or enslaved. This system created intense economic pressure on Hindu families. Many converted not out of belief, but as a desperate measure to survive, avoid persecution, or protect their loved ones from violence and enslavement.
Fear of Abduction: In regions governed by Sharia law or under Muslim-majority rule, non-Muslims—even those who paid the jizya, were often not truly safe. Women, in particular, lived under constant fear. Young girls, teenage daughters, and even married women, especially those considered attractive or virginal, were at risk of being kidnapped. It was not uncommon for Muslim men to abduct non-Muslim women, forcibly convert them, marry them against their will, and subject them to sexual abuse.
In response to this threat, Hindu communities in some regions began the practice of ghunghat (veiling) to hide women from predators. However, even that wasn’t always enough to protect them. In many cases, the only perceived way to safeguard one’s family was to convert to Islam entirely, men often converted along with their wives and children, not out of belief, but out of desperation to survive and protect their loved ones.
Result of rape: This is perhaps the darkest part of the conversions. In Islamic doctrine, sex with captured non-Muslim women, referred to as maal-e-ghanimat (spoils of war), was allowed and even encouraged. This practice began with Muhammad himself. One well-documented case is Raihana bint Zayd, a young Jewish girl from the Banu Qurayza tribe.
After the men of her tribe were executed on Muhammad’s orders, Raihana was taken as a concubine. This set a precedent. Such actions were not fringe or condemned, they became sunnah, part of what was seen as “righteous” practice, since they were modeled on the Prophet. Muslim invaders continued this: women captured in battle or from non-Muslim populations were enslaved, raped, and traded. If a woman resisted, she risked being killed.
During the Islamic invasions of India, Hindu girls and women were taken as londi (sex slaves) after war, and then they were raped almost daily by multiple jihadis. Pregnancies resulting from these assaults led to children being raised as Muslims. If the child was a boy, he’d be brought up in the Islamic faith. If it was a girl, once she reached a certain age, sometimes as young as six or seven, she could be given to another man. This cycle of abuse and indoctrination continued for generations. Some of the physical traits seen among certain Muslim communities today, fairer skin, sharper features, can be partially traced back to these rapes and centuries of cousin marriages within the Islamic caste-like structures that developed.
Wealth, Status, and Pleasure Promise: Not all conversions happened through violence or coercion. Some Hindu men, driven by personal ambition or material desires, chose to convert voluntarily. For them, loyalty to their native language, culture, or Dharma came second to the allure of wealth, social mobility, and power. Muslim rulers and invaders often rewarded converts with land grants, high-ranking positions in the court, access to royal privileges, and even women. Combined with religious promises of paradise and divine favor, these incentives made conversion an appealing option for those more interested in personal gain than spiritual conviction.
Emotional divide: India’s deeply ingrained caste system created a natural divide, which Islamic missionaries and rulers often exploited. Many individuals from Scheduled Castes (SCs) and other marginalized communities faced discrimination and were denied dignity within the traditional Hindu social structure. Muslim preachers and leaders would approach these groups with a message of equality, presenting Islam as a religion that treated all believers as equals before God.
Unlike Hinduism’s rigid caste divisions, Islam promised a society free from such hierarchies, which appealed to those seeking justice and equality. This promise of social upliftment and dignity was powerful, especially for those who had faced generations of discrimination. While in reality the treatment within Muslim societies could still be hierarchical and biased, the perception of being offered respect and a sense of belonging often led many from these oppressed castes to convert. For them, the emotional appeal of being valued as human beings, not merely by social status, was more persuasive than threats or bribes.
Avoid Avoid Avoid
Muslims today often avoid discussing a difficult question: How did their ancestors convert to Islam? They don’t want to confront this question or the uncomfortable truths it may reveal. The reality is, no one in their right mind would willingly choose to accept Islam. I say this based on my own experience. I didn’t turn to atheism because of Hinduism, but because of my exposure to Islam during my college years.
I read parts of the Quran, and I was struck by how insecure, contradictory, and, frankly, troubling the portrayal of God was. The Quran seemed to present a God who was powerless, contradictory, and flawed in nature, qualities that I couldn’t reconcile with any concept of a supreme being. Throughout the Quran, you find contradictions and the verses which divide the world into two groups: the believers and the non-believers.
It claims that what is written in the book is the absolute, unchallengeable truth, and that Muhammad is the final prophet. These ideas, when critically examined, left me questioning the very foundation of the religion.
Muslims & Loyalty: Contemporary Examples
First, it’s important to acknowledge that every community has a wide range of people with different views and behaviors. In the Hindu community, to which I belong, there are individuals who can be overly emotional or act in a way that mirrors some radical behavior, though they are not as violent as real jihadists. These individuals may make extreme statements or take extreme actions, but I do not endorse their actions. However, one thing is clear: despite their flaws, they prioritize India over religion. In contrast, within the Muslim community, I believe only a small percentage, maybe 1-2%, puts India first. For the majority, Islam takes precedence, and their loyalty lies with their faith rather than their country, especially if there are no negative consequences for choosing Islam over national allegiance.
For Muslims, it seems that Islam comes first, the Ummah (global Muslim community) comes second, and then the country they live in, which they might even aspire to transform into an Islamic state. They can commit any atrocity or behave in any manner necessary to support Islam. This appears to be the reality for a majority of Muslims in India, or perhaps wherever they reside. Consequently, they may be inclined to be dishonest or pretend to blend in just to gain acceptance, as it’s supposedly ingrained in their culture and religious texts. However, if given a genuine choice, their primary allegiance would always be to Islam. Since this world means nothing to them, the country they live in also holds no value, it is just as useless to them as the world itself.
Those Muslims who regularly visit mosques, read the Quran, observe Ramadan, and perform Namaz can never truly prioritize India. While a few exceptions might exist, the majority may not be loyal to India. Muslims, no matter where they live, tend to put Islam above everything else. That’s why they do not adopt the traditional clothing of the country they reside in, choose Arabic names for their children instead of local ones, and often show little to no respect for the cultures or religions of their real ancestors. Many seem to be quietly waiting for the moment when their population surpasses that of other religious groups. This is a common pattern observed among Muslims. It’s because they love Saudi culture and traditions, and they wish to replicate that model wherever they live. That’s why, if they are in Australia, they want Sharia law; if they are in London, they want Sharia law; and if they are in Canada, they want Sharia law. So, basically, if they are practicing Muslims or raised in a family where Islam is the dominant part of life, such people can never truly be loyal to the country they reside in.
Let’s look at specific incidents that illustrate this point.
Kashmir
Recently, an attack took place in Kashmir. A tourist, while enjoying a zip-lining activity, unintentionally captured the unfolding terrorist assault on video. In the footage, a Kashmiri Muslim man assisting the tourist can be seen observing the attack below, where Hindu tourists were being brutally killed by jihadists. Instead of warning the tourist or stopping him by saying something like, “Wait, terrorists are attacking down there,” the man repeatedly chanted “Allahu Akbar” and allowed the tourist to proceed. As a result, the zip-lining tourist ended up filming the horrific killings of innocent people. While one person tried to save the Hindus and lost his life in the process, the overwhelming majority of the Muslims present supported the jihadists, expressing allegiance to both jihad and Pakistan. There are several videos circulating on the internet that document this disturbing response. This incident highlights a troubling reality: for many Muslims in Kashmir, their loyalty lies with Islam and Pakistan, not with India.
I had a friend in college who is from Kashmir, and he once told me that he hoped to visit India one day on a tourist visa, implying that he wanted Kashmir to become a separate nation. It’s hard to understand this mindset, especially when you consider the history of Kashmir. The people from Kashmir, particularly the Muslims, have used India’s resources but were also responsible for the forced exodus of Kashmiri Hindus from their homeland nearly two decades ago. During that dark period, many Kashmiri Muslims would openly say things like, ‘I will take this hindu woman, I will take their daughter, I will take their homes after killing the men.’ These horrifying acts happened to countless innocent people, yet it’s something people rarely talk about now. It’s considered taboo to speak out against Islam and Muslims, who are often portrayed as innocent and harmless, even when the reality was much more violent and cruel.
Shamefully Kashmiri muslims call Kashmir their land without knowing the history of the land, which is wrong. Just because they made babies like rabbits with their four wives and increased their numbers, they call the Hindu land theirs. Yes, it was a Hindu land with lots of libraries and temples, but invaders destroyed everything and created this Loch Ness monster called Kashmiri Muslims with the same technique of conversion we have discussed above.
Other Incidents
Any practicing Muslim who goes to the mosque daily and regularly performs namaz can never truly put the country first, because for them, their loyalty lies first with Islam and the global Muslim brotherhood (Ummah). Their religious identity outweighs national identity every time.

For example, when India’s Chief of Defence Staff, Bipin Rawat, died in a tragic helicopter crash, many Indian Muslims didn’t express any grief. Instead, they posted laughing emojis and made comments that were outright disrespectful. They couldn’t care less that he was a top-ranking officer of their own country. But when an Iranian general was killed by the U.S. and Israel, someone who had no connection to India, these same people came out on the streets across different Indian states to protest. Why? Because that general was Muslim. So, they were angry and emotional for a foreign Islamic figure, but when one of their own country’s top military leaders died, they mocked it. This shows clearly where their loyalties lie, and it’s not with India.
I encountered a Muslim girl from Delhi on an app, and during our conversation, she expressed deep distress about the situation in Palestine, even crying and stating that Jews were killing her people. This was a well-educated girl from Delhi University. I also recall an incident when Pakistan defeated India in a cricket match, and Muslims in my neighborhood celebrated with firecrackers. It makes one wonder, if they can’t support the Indian cricket team, how can they truly support India as a country? I’ve also seen many online videos of Muslim women wearing burqas who were removing Pakistani flags from roads, streets, and stairs. Indians had put these flags up to show that Pakistan is an enemy nation. However, these burqa-clad women didn’t care about what has happened or is happening between India and Pakistan because, for them and their husbands who likely ordered them to remove those flags (since doing it themselves might get them beaten by Indians and called Jihadis, which they are), their loyalty lies elsewhere.
Historical Examples of Conflicting Loyalties:
Most people don’t realize that around the time India gained independence from the British, there was a major election. In that election, the majority of Muslims in India voted for the Muslim League, Muhammad Ali Jinnah’s party. And Jinnah had made his intentions very clear: he wanted a separate nation for Muslims. So this voting pattern clearly shows that a large number of Indian Muslims supported the creation of Pakistan. But here’s the obvious question: if they wanted Pakistan so badly, why didn’t all of them go there? The reasons aren’t noble. Some were simply too scared, they didn’t want to risk their lives moving to a new place during violent times. Others were greedy, they didn’t want to leave behind their wealth, land, or thriving businesses to be taken over by Hindus. Many wanted the benefits of staying in India while still emotionally siding with the idea of a Muslim nation. In hindsight, this was a major blunder by the leaders of that time. They should’ve made a clean and complete separation. But in an attempt to present a secular image to the world, they ignored a critical truth, that this rigid, Arab-rooted ideology wasn’t naturally compatible with India’s diverse, dharmic traditions.
In 1921, in the Malabar region of Kerala, a violent uprising broke out among the Muslim Moplah (or Mappila) community. Although it was initially framed as part of the Khilafat Movement, a pan-Islamic protest against the British for abolishing the Ottoman Caliphate, it quickly mutated into something far more brutal and communal. The Moplahs did not rise to fight British imperialism as nationalists. Instead, their rage was directed almost entirely at the local Hindu population, especially landlords, traders, and upper-caste Hindus.
What followed was not a freedom movement, but a full-blown massacre of Hindus, driven by religious fanaticism and hatred. Horrific acts were committed, including: Massacres of entire Hindu families, Women being raped or abducted, Pregnant women being mutilated, Forced conversions to Islam, Hindu temples desecrated and destroyed, Cow carcasses deliberately thrown at temple gates to insult and provoke, Properties of Hindus looted and burned, Parts of Malabar declared as under Islamic rule by the rebels. Some Moplah leaders even declared intentions to establish a Sharia-ruled territory, clearly showing their allegiance wasn’t to India’s freedom but to building a Muslim-controlled region.
These actions weren’t random, they were systematic and deeply ideological. Even Mahatma Gandhi, who had earlier supported the Khilafat cause, stayed silent on the atrocities, a fact that has drawn criticism ever since. The Congress leadership downplayed the violence for the sake of political alliance, ignoring the suffering of thousands of Hindus. In total, thousands of Hindus were killed, tens of thousands displaced, and entire villages were wiped out or forcibly converted. The Moplah Massacre remains one of the darkest, most brutal episodes in India’s modern history, not just for its violence, but for how it was misrepresented and buried under the broader narrative of the freedom struggle.
Conclusion
So, Are they Loyal?
Answer is NO. About 20-30% are pure jihadis who can come to the streets at any time to kill kafirs. Another 40-50% silently support those 20-30%. Around 10-15% do not care much—they are happy with whatever happens as long as nothing affects them. Only about 5% are sensible, but they cannot speak up much and remain quiet when atrocities are committed by Muslims.
This is not a generalization; it is a truth. The majority follow Islam, and its teachings do not encourage loyalty to any land but Islam and Allah. For them, real life begins after death, so living in this temporary world does not mean much. They are all waiting for Jannat, where Allah will give them wine, virgin women, milk, gardens, and more.
This is why many cannot say ‘Bharat Mata ki Jai.’ Just imagine a community that cannot say this—how can it love the country? I am not saying that saying ‘Bharat Mata ki Jai’ automatically makes someone a patriot or that it is the only way to love India. In fact, often the less educated shout it loudly but then spit on the road, urinate on walls, or litter after eating.
However, if you are truly a patriot, saying ‘Bharat Mata ki Jai’ at the right time and moment is a nice thing to do.
On a more hopeful note, the internet might be helping foster a small segment of sensible, less religious Muslims in India, and I hope this blog also helps spark some sense in young Muslim or leftist minds, encouraging them to love their country and culture more, and to start putting the nation first.
